A strange affliction

A strange affliction,
Piquant and poignant.

An alliterative madness,
Seizing and welting, smelt.

The chaotic depths of thought,
Ambivalent and incessant.

Old photos, which refuse to taint,
New photos which will never be forgotten.

Words that earn,
Music, that in hope, repents.

Nomadic sunsets,
Tipping clouds of dark promises.

Tear soaked pillows,
And epidemic happiness that fails to be caught.

Songs that praise and appraise,
Tunes that are hummed in felt, engraved.

A wicked whisper,
Tainted in false grace.
